Breakout Running offers three basic types of service:
  • Customized Training Plan
  • Online 1:1 Coaching
  • In-Person Coaching (Northern Virginia area only)
The Customized Training Plan lies at the heart of our coaching and forms the basis for our customized coaching system. We believe athletes benefit most from the tailored structure and support of a hands-on coaching presence throughout training. If that sounds like what you need, then you should select our Online 1:1 Coaching program! This program is priced on a monthly fee basis (currently $125), and it includes the Customized Training Plan.
Key features include:
  • Athletes can log their workouts and receive coach feedback through our training site at Final Surge, which is included in the cost of the program. 
  • In addition, we provide weekly check-in sessions where athlete and coach can collaboratively assess progress, and make adjustments to goals or plans as needed. 
  • For athletes based in the Northern Virginia area, In-Person Coaching is also available. This is essentially the Online 1:1 Coaching program, with a value added option of a weekly in-person coaching session. Depending on the driving distance from Breakout Running's Fairfax, Virginia location to the designated training site, there may be an additional fee involved to cover travel and other logistical expenses.
Runners who simply want a training plan to follow on their own, without coaching, can still order a stand-alone Customized Training Plan for a one-time fee. Plan fee starts at $125 for a 12-week plan and increases based on the number of additional weeks desired. The plan is yours to keep, and you can "run with it" all the way to race day (and reuse it for future races if you wish). We will tailor the training to your needs as stated at the time of plan purchase. You won't get weekly coaching and feedback on your progress, or subsequent training plan adjustments, but you can reach out with questions while training
